Study subjects at the university are subjects in which the practice of individual spiritual exercises is deepened and developed. Two subjects occupy a central position. Design work with yoga is one of them. The practice of meditation with the preliminary stage of concentration formation is the other subject. You can find out more about the individual subjects below.
Learning at the university is fostered through teaching. However, as an alumnus, one is also required to present what has been learned at the next opportunity. Short lectures are often given in front of other course participants. Experience has shown that in preparing a topic, then presenting it and receiving feedback from fellow students, the greatest progress in learning is made. Examinations at the University consist of lectures on individual topics, teaching spiritual exercises, and periodic writing or video presentations on self-selected content regarding spiritual formation.
Yoga as a exercise of consciousness
In the spiritual university, you learn to consciously shape the yoga exercise in line with the new yoga will. You form ideas and express them in a yoga exercise, get to know and feel the yoga postures more consciously and develop the ability to consciously guide the body.
Text work
Working with the word and creating etheric forces
In text work, the conscious, objective reading and imagining of a text in which an inner wisdom or spiritual essence lives is trained. The experience arises that the thought is recreated by the reader, and only then can its inherent wisdom and light be perceived and expressed.
Steps to follow:
- Read the selected text very carefully
- Independent imagination of the text read, remembering back
- Rereading and checking your own remembering
- What logic of thought lives in the text?
- What does the author want to express with these sentences?
Working with words and texts in a stimulating and strengthening sense can be seen as a great, so-called ether-generating, i.e. life-giving art. It is not consumer-oriented, entertaining, passive, but highly active, relational, contemplative and judgment-forming and stimulates the so-called creative powers of man.

Meditation
The objective, thought based meditation
The spiritual teacher Heinz Grill describes the value of objective meditation in that it is only through it that you can achieve expanded thinking and perception. With non-objective meditation, even if it is easier to practise, the most you can achieve is a briefly altered emotional state, but you cannot develop an expanded consciousness.
- Subject-object relationship
- Placement of a thought
- Longer holding of a thought
- Concentration
- The release of ether through a thought
For meditation to be successful, the object of observation must always come into view in a sufficiently relational and concrete way. Quickly skimming past the content without a clear, calm awareness could never lead to an expanded spiritual feeling and perception.
Heinz Grill (Meditation140; 28.5.2022)
lead to expanded spiritual feeling and perception.
Heinz Grill writes weekly meditation letters, which provide all students with a very good guide and encourage them to engage regularly with spiritual content.
The meditation letters can be ordered at the e-mail address: meditationsinhalte@mail.de and will then be sent to you weekly by e-mail.
Soul exercises
Activation and harmonization of the three soul forces, the thinking, the feeling and the will
Every soul exercise begins with a concrete awareness and perception of a visible object or mental content. This separates thinking from the life of desire and will.
The aim is for the object itself to open up to the observer in its deeper reality. In this way, the exercises lead to the hidden spiritual world that lies behind the visible phenomena and expresses itself through subtle, silent sensations of truth.
The following soul exercises from Heinz Grill’s book, Übungen für die Seele, are practiced regularly in the study program:
- Wisdom forces in nature and the signature of individual plants
- Approaching the energetic, spiritual and mental substance of concepts
- Concentration
- The right judgment
Future perspectives
Have I already thought how it will be or am I still waiting?
The subject of future perspectives begins by starting to think about what is not yet, to think about how it could be. You think step by step from the idea to concrete practice. Only what has really been thought can be realized. In an attitude in which you reject things, there is no future-oriented thought that you could strive towards instead.
- Development of ideals
- Formulating goals
- Concretizing goals
- Imagining goals in connection with a universally valid ideal
Rhetoric
What can you pay attention to when presenting and speaking?
- Speak figuratively, with images and counter-images (characteristics, contexts, description – not judgment, order, logic, goal)
- Framework, context, introduction, orientation, movement towards the listener
- exoteric (simple, authentic, concrete, practical, uncomplicated)
- Attitude, motive
- Exit and conclusion: placing the legality
- Perspectives should emerge
Being perceptive and grounded in content creates a harmonious relationship and encounter. The language stands beautifully in the room, has an appropriate form so that it can circulate free from the personal.
Dealing with evil
Evil wants to be recognized, felt and transformed.
General In life and on the path of spiritual training, the individual is not only exposed to beneficial forces, but also to negative and destructive ones. Depending on how they are dealt with, these forces – which operate inside and outside the individual – can weaken or strengthen the individual.
This subject deals with questions such as:
- In what forms does evil appear?
- How do you study and recognize the forces of evil?
- How can evil be used for development and construction?
The confrontation with so-called evil represents a daring but very effective step towards maturing the inner will structures of every human being.
